StandardFusion Named Technology Impact Awards Finalist for Company of the Year - Growth
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (June 28, 2022) -- StandardFusion, a B2B SaaS serving customers around the world with a high-performing GRC platform for the SMB and Enterprise markets, is honored to have been named a finalist for Company of the Year: Growth award by the BC Tech Association (BC Tech) for the 2022 Technology Impact Awards (TIAs).
Nominees of the "Company of the Year: Growth" category must have between $1M to $10M in revenue, 10 to 50 employees, and are "high growth company's demonstrating outstanding performance and potential to grow into a leader in their marketplace." StandardFusion is excited to follow in the footsteps of past growth winners, including Launchpad (2021 Winners) and Klue (2020 Winners).
The announcement was hosted as the inaugural event at the Hudson Pacific Properties innovation pavilion, with a live audience joined by many more via Zoom to celebrate the announcements from around the Province.
"Each year at BC Tech we like the Technology Impact Awards to connect to a theme that's uniquely true of our community, and for 2022 our theme is ambition. In a year that was full of incredible accomplishments by BC Tech companies. In 2021 sixteen unicorns emerged from Canada. How many were from BC? Thirteen of the sixteen! Which is a fantastic indicator of the heights this ecosystem can attempt" said Jill Tipping, CEO of BC Tech.
"Wow! We're super honored to be a finalist at the Technology Impact Awards. It's an awesome achievement and I think it's deserving of how hard the team has worked and how amazing our customers and partners have been," said StandardFusion Co-Founder and CEO Mirek Pijanowski. "We're thrilled to be a finalist and send our congratulations to all the other finalists."
StandardFusion's mission is focused on providing a scalable, efficient, and cost-effective solution that transforms internal teams, such as information security, legal, finance, and procurement, into revenue drivers by simplifying and automation the complexity of Governance, Risk, and Compliance.
For each year since 2019, StandardFusion has grown exponentially, doubling it's ARR, team size, and has grown it's userbase by 330% while receiving recognition from industry leading third-party analysts such as Gartner and Forrester as high-performers in the mid-market GRC platform space, and have recently been announced as a key participant in Mastercard's Global Cybersecurity Alliance program.
Average costs of data breaches has risen to USD $4.24 million, the highest in the history of IBM's reporting. Breaches are occurring more often and with greater consequences, driving investment towards pre-emptively closing any risk and vulnerability gaps. For every breach that is prevented, customers are saving hits to their bottom line and their brand.
Operations teams, such as information security, legal, finance, and procurement, have to navigate the complexities of ensuring risks are mitigated. In doing so, they have developed a stigma of hindering growth because they lengthen sales cycles, slow productivity, and impede creativity.
"We're in the business of simplifying the complexities of managing a wide range of risks and compliance. We're succeeding where legacy systems fail because we don't require significant customization which greatly shortens onboarding times. We deliver real-time analysis tools giving stakeholders visibility into what once was a black box, and offer customers significant user experience improvements and a transparent sales process"
Tim Young, Director of Sales
Prior to StandardFusion's founding, GRC solutions were only available to enterprise-level organizations with six-figure budgets.
"StandardFusion was born out of necessity. While implementing compliance programs in a previous role, we were condemned to managing everything using spreadsheets and calendar reminders - a system that doesn't scale and isn't sustainable. We know it is a system that many organizations still use today because, as we found, there were no better options. Everything we found was unattainable for an organization of that size either due to cost, complexity, or both. Fast forward several years and here we are, with one of the leading GRC platforms available today working with organizations around the globe".
